In nearly 20 years, oddly I still remember sitting in a group with other interviewees for a job that required group discussion, a lady from London argued that others should not call them Black. She pointed at her dark skin, "This is not black." Then she pointed at her black sweater, "This is black." An English lady from Plymouth applauded her for such insight. I didn't know what to say, I was the only yellow one by birth in the group and suddenly realised that I was wearing my favourite yellow shirt. So I silenced myself into oblivion and failed the interview.
